Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico and is an American-Mexican actress. She sings as well. She was raised by her mom throughout the USA she faced a lot of racial taunts that made her feel being unwelcome. When she went to a school competition and received the highest praise for her singing, in ninth grade the young girl started to feel more confident. This experience did not just help her gain confidence but changed her goals in the future. The 22-year-old earned a degree from Julliard School in New York. At the age of 23, she started her career on Broadway in Paul Simon's The Capeman. Then, aged 23 her first film debut was You've got mail. Her biggest breakthrough was when she played the role in the role of The Lady of The Lake in the first Broadway performance of Spamalot receiving not just the Tony Award for her performance as well as a lot of critical praise. In 2007 she was cast in the ABC show Grey's Anatomy and became more famous. The actress is also a renowned singer and has released an extended play. She's also an activist who works hard for LGBT rights.
